Hello Angels! It’s been so long since I have posted =[ so I wanted to do something fun! Did you watch the Victoria Secret Fashion Show?! I didn’t get to watch it in its entirety but the parts that I saw were amazing (as always). I really enjoyed Selena Gomez’s performance; her new song was awesome! She looked awesome too, and just like a Victoria Secret model. I was inspired by her makeup and couldn’t wait to recreate her look. The blue contacts look gorgeous on her! People often think that certain eye colors work best with particular eye shadow colors, and that they cannot wear certain colors…this is not necessarily true. You just need to find the shade of an eye shadow! Pink is often a tough color to work with though. I used to think that I couldn’t pull it off because I would use colors that were TOO pink and would end up making me look tired or sick, especially when I have my winter snow white skin color . After seeing Selina’s eye shadow, I decided to give pink another try. Selina’s makeup artist went with a pink that had a gold tone..a beautiful rose gold and sun-kissed mix. When I used this beautiful combo I was amazed. Try it and you will be too!
Get The Look:
Face- Step 1, use moisturizer! It helps set your makeup and give your skin a beautiful glow. I used Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré. I then applied Dior Glow Maximizer Primer which gives additional glow. I applied Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation in shade 5 (I often mix it with Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Bronzer but now that it’s winter, the shade 5 is my exact tone and color). I then applied Cle de Peau concealer in Mocha under my eyes to reduce any discoloration. (*Tip* Mocha is great because the orange tone in it helps counteract blue circles from being tired..if you have dark blue circles, use a concealer with orange in it, powder lightly to avoid creases, and apply extra foundation on top). I also applied the concealer on my eyelid as a primer. Following that I contoured my face. For the highlights I mixed a drop of Dior Glow Maximizer Primer with the 2 lightest shades in my RCMA Makeup Highlight and Contouring Palette and highlight #1 from Laura Mercier Flawless Contouring Palette. For my shadow I mixed the lighter shadow in the RCMA palette with contour #1 from the Laura Mercier Palette. I then applied a cream blush, Illamasqua in Rude. This is by far my favorite cream blush and this color gives you the perfect “flushed” look. Don’t forget to fully blend your contour and blush!! I then did my eyebrows because I use cream products for them. I took a small brush and outlined my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde mixed with a drop of my contour. It’s the perfect consistency and this mix does not look like that crazy dark/fake brow. To set my makeup I applied Ben Nye Translucent Powder in Neutral. When using creams it’s important to apply powder after so that your makeup doesn’t smudge. I applied Make Up For Ever Brow Seal to keep my brows in place. For the finishing touches I applied Mac Wash & Dry Bronzing Powder to further accentuate my cheekbones (and also because Selina’s look was bronzed and beautiful). After, I applied Copacabana by Nars as my illuminator above cheeks, on my nose, and forehead.
Eyes- As mentioned above, I applied my Cle de Peau concealer as my eye primer. I applied the shade “virgin” from Urban Decay’s Naked Palette to highlight my brow-bone/inner corner of my eyes, and also applied it to my entire eyelid. Following that I mixed “nooner” and “trick” from the naked 3 palette in my crease. On the outer v of my eyelid I blended “buzz” and “trick”. For my drop shadow (shadow applied under the eye) I applied Chanel’s Stylo Eyeshadow in Pink Lagoon. I tight-lined (eyeliner in bottom and upper waterline) with Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Eye Pencil Noir. I applied Alcone At Home Liquid Eyeliner in Midnight Black on upper lash line, then curled my lashes with my favorite Billy B Beauty’s Eyelash Curler and applied Lights, Camera, Flashes by Tarte.
Lips- I lined my lips with Macs Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Doubletime (Selina’s lips were contoured and this shade is a perfect pinky nude). I mixed 2 lipsticks to get the perfect pink; Myth by Mac and Rouge D’Armani in 506 Pink by Giorgio Armani. Finally, I applied Lipchic to seal my lipstick!
