Hi dolls! I have been gone for a long time, but I am back!!! After my last post I went straight to Greece, and a few weeks after I went to Vegas and then traveled to Chicago. It has been a really fun summer.
I stayed in Greece for 2.5 weeks. My family has a summerhouse in Nafpaktos, which is a 3-hour drive from Athens, and that is where we stayed the whole time. In Greece I made some amazing friends, had the most delicious Greek food (the lamb and spanakopita’s were my favorite), got an amazing tan…and met the man of my nightmares but that’s another story. I traveled to Las Vegas with my brother and BFF Braulio. We stayed at the Cosmopolitan hotel. I visited other hotels during my trip and I can honestly say that I think the Cosmopolitan is the best one. It was beautiful, had a balcony (I believe it’s the only hotel in Vegas with a balcony), it had amazing restaurants, and there was just so much to do there. During Vegas we saw Britney Spears’ show and let me tell you, she was FANTASTIC! Her dance moves are insane. She is such an amazing performer and I was really impressed. She looked fabulous. On the last day there we went to Nobu for a late lunch, saw Zarkana Cirque du Soleil at the Aria hotel, and later on went to Mastro’s for dinner. The show was insane and both Nobu and Mastro’s had tasty food. Now I am back in New York and have job interviews coming up, so let’s pray for the best! In the mean time, I am back and will be blogging a lot more again.

Before my trips I took a visit to Saks at the Walt Whitman Mall in Long Island. I visited my makeup artist at Cle de Peau, Evone, and she did my makeup. She did such an amazing job that I could not resist purchasing nearly all of the products she used. The look she gave me was a sexy smokey eye and I have been recreating that look when I have been going out! I recreated it this past weekend, which you can see below.
This past weekend I went to the Gansevoort Park Hotel and tried a new restaurant called Holden & Astor. It’s in the Meatpacking District. The food was phenomenal. They had the most delicious Tuna Tartare and Mac and Cheese with truffle. If you visit NYC be sure to check it out.
Anyways, below is my new “smokey eye” look that I have been doing almost every weekend, and I am about to tell you how to recreate it yourself!!
Face- I first applied Cetaphil Oil Control Moisturizer followed by Dior Glow Maximizer Primer. I then mixed Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation in 6.5 with Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Bronzer. I then contoured my face using the Make Up For Ever Flash Color Case. As I’ve done in previous posts, to highlight I mixed the white and peach with a drop of my foundation and to shadow I mixed the brown and white (also with a drop of my foundation). I applied Illamasqua cream blush, in Rude to the apples of my cheeks. I then used Cle de Peau concealer under my eyes (and on my eyelid). I used Copacabana by Nars as my illuminator above cheeks, on my nose, and forehead. I then used Ben Nye Translucent Powder in Neutral to set my makeup.
Eyes- I first used Urban Decay Primer Potion on my eyelids. I applied Cle de Peau satin eye color 101 to highlight my browbone and the inner corner of my eyelids. I then used the Cle de Peau eye color quad in 305. I used the third color in the palette all over my eyelid, the first color (a pretty golden shade) in the inner corner, and the fourth and darkest shade in the outer corner of my eyelid and crease, as well as below my bottom lash-line. I then tight-lined (eyeliner in bottom and upper waterline) with Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Eye Pencil Noir. Following that I created a cat eye above my upper lash-line, using Giorgio Armani Maestro Liquid Eye Liner. I then curled my lashes with my Billy B Beauty’s Eyelash Curler and applied Tarte MultiplEYE-prime followed by Lights, Camera, Flashes by Tarte. I took a small brush and outlined my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde and then filled them in with Brow Bar To Go by Whitening Lightning on my eyebrows, followed by Make Up For Ever Brow Seal.
Lips- Mac Red by M.A.C. Cosmetics.
