Gilded Glam

Hi beauties! I know it’s been a while, so let me update you on what’s going on in my life! I started school for makeup artistry last Wednesday. So far, it is amazing. I am thrilled and am having such a wonderful experience at MUD (Makeup Designory). I have learned how to match foundation to someones skin tone and undertone, apply coverage, and apply highlight and contour. Tomorrow we are starting our eyeshadow segment! I’m excited, and it means my skin gets a little break, which it definitely is in need of. Anyways, this weekend I went to my house in Long Island, and I saw Rob Schneider perform a comedy show and he was absolutely HILARIOUS! It was an amazing experience and before the show me, my brother, and our friend had dinner at the venue, which is called The Paramount, and the downstairs is 1920’s themed, which is so cool. For that night I did my makeup “Gilded Glam”; I was in the mood for some beautiful golden makeup.
Makeup Steps:
Face- After prepping my face with my oil free moisturizer from Cetaphil, I applied Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.5. Then I used Prep + Prime Highlighter in light boost by M.A.C. Cosmetics to highlight my nose, chin, forehead, and under eyes. I then used Los Cabos Matte Bronzing Powder from Sephora to contour cheeks and nose. I applied my blush to the apples of my cheeks, using Orgasm by Nars. I used Copacabana by Nars an illuminator above cheeks, on my nose, and forehead.
Eyes- First I used Urban Decay Primer Potion to prime my eyelids. I highlighted my brow bone with Albatross by Nars, and also used this in the corner of my eyelid. I applied Half Baked from my Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay on my eyelid, and Chopper in the crease. I applied Lola Lola by Nars in the outer corner of my eye. I then blended. I used Goldilux by Sugarpill on my bottom lash line. I then applied Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Eye Pencil Noir to my bottom waterline and applied black AMC Gel Liner #77 from Inglot Cosmetics to my upper lash line. I then curled my lashes with my Billy B Beauty’s Eyelash Curler and applied Tarte MultiplEYE-prime followed by Lights, Camera, Flashes by Tarte. I used the amazing Brow Bar To Go by Whitening Lightning on my eyebrows, followed by Make Up For Ever Brow Seal to keep brows in place and keep the color on.
Lips- I mixed Cyber by M.A.C. Cosmetics with Crimson Noir by Tom Ford Beauty.

Thanks girl!
Any quick tips on how to match foundations with skin and under tones?
Yes! The most important thing is to understand undertone and what yours is, it can either me more olive or red/ pink. So if you’re more olive toned then you want to make sure to only go for the olive foundations. When you try out foundations, the best spot to test is the area on your neck that’s right next to your ear/under the chin. Some people need to mix 2 foundations sometimes to get the best base match. Hope this helps!
You look like a princess in this!!
