Subtle Valentines Makeup

Hello ladies!! As promised, I created a second Valentines Day makeup, but this look is a bit more subtle. If you know that your man prefers when you tone down the makeup, then I think this look is the perfect way to go because it is still done up enough without being over the top and it’s glamorous, but not too severe. As I am sure many of you are aware, I am obsessed with makeup. That being said, I have never listened to my past boyfriends when they have said “I think you look better with less makeup on!” because doing makeup and getting funky with it makes me feel happy. Valentines Day is one exception though, so if you know your boyfriend or husband prefers less makeup, go for this type of look! Otherwise, go wild and crazy like I did in my “Dramatic Valentines Makeup”.  I hope you enjoy this look and are excited for Valentines Day!!

Steps to achieve this Valentines look:

Face- I applied Dior Glow Maximizer Light Boosting Primer, followed by foundation, Studio Skin Oil Free in 2.1 in light beige from Smashbox. Then I used Prep + Prime Highlighter in light boost by Mac Cosmetics to highlight my nose, chin, forehead, and under eyes. I then used Los Cabos Matte Bronzing Powder from Sephora to contour cheeks and nose. I used Albatross from Nars as a highlighter above cheeks, and for an extra shimmer I added Elf Body Shimmer Mystic Moonlight. I then applied my blush, Chanel Joues Contraste in 87 Emotion.

Eyes- First I used Urban Decay Primer Potion to prime my eyelids. I highlighted my brow bone with Albatross by Nars and then I applied Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in 36 Candlelight to my entire eyelid (I couldn’t locate this color online but Platinum #22 by Bobbi Brown is very similar). I then applied 11 White Punch by Giorgio Armani to the inner corner and center of my eyelid. Following that I used a pink from my BH Cosmetics 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette 1st Edition in the outer corner of my eye and I used a purple from the same palette in my crease (the exact colors used from this palette are shown below). I applied Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure in Opal on top of all of the eyeshadow application.  I applied AMC Eyeliner Gel – 77 from Inglot Cosmetics to the top of my lash line, and I applied Tarina Tarantino Eyelicity Glitter Liner in Black Diamond on top of that. I then applied Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Eye Pencil Noir to my bottom waterline. I applied my Stylo Eyeshadow by Chanel in 27 Pink Lagoon below my bottom lash line. I curled my lashes with my Billy B Beauty’s Eyelash Curler and applied Tarte MultiplEYE-prime followed by Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara by Tarte! I used Brow Bar To Go by Whitening Lightning on my eyebrows, followed by Make Up For Ever Brow Seal to keep brows in place and keep the color on.

Lips- I applied M.A.C. Cosmetics Girl About Town, followed by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Metallic- Lovecraft iridescent pink/lilac metallic. I finished by applying Lighted Lip Gloss in Icicle by Whitening Lightning.
