LOTD: Eyes Inspired by Spring Beauty Trends
Good afternoon beauty queens =]! I wanted to share today’s look. I was inspired by the Spring 2014 Beauty Trend “Pastel Wash of Color” (you can read more about the beauty trends in my blog post Beauty Trend Report for Spring 2014). In my post on The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty from 2 days ago, the last question (which was about the sin “envy”) asked which product looks great on others but not on you and my answer was “bright neon/colorful eyeliners.” Well, today I decided that I would not play it safe and would step out of my comfort zone! I used one of my eye-shadows as a liner for the bottom of my waterline/lashline, and I am surprised to say that I do like how it came out. I now realize that I dislike colorful liners on the top of my lash line, but when it’s on the bottom I do like it. I am glad I tried something different. Let me know what you think! Below the picture I will list the products I used.
Face: The foundation is Studio Skin Oil Free in 2.1 light beige from Smashbox, blush is Illamasqua cream blush in Rude, Prep + Prime Highlighter in light boost from Mac Cosmetics (to highlight), Los Cabos Matte Bronzing Powder from Sephora (to contour cheeks), and Albatross from Nars (as a highlighter above cheeks).
Eyes: First I applied my Urban Decay Primer Potion to my eyelids. I used Limit on my entire eyelid, and Nooner mixed with Liar in the crease and outer corner of my eye, both from my Naked3 Palette by Urban Decay. I used Albatross by Nars to highlight my brow bone. I used Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Eye Pencil Noir as my top liner to create my cat eye, I felt like using a pencil rather than a liquid liner today. I curled my lashes and applied Tarte MultiplEYE-prime followed by Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara by Tarte! Using an eyeliner brush dipped in water I applied Lucky Green by M.A.C. Cosmetics in my lower waterline. Under my lower lash line I applied Aquadisiac, also by M.A.C. Cosmetics. I finished by using a thin liner brush, which I dipped in Lit Cosmetics Clearly Liquid Glitter Base and used it to apply Hawaii 5/0 Glitter by Lit Cosmetics. I used Chanel Le Sourcil De Chanel Perfect Brows 20 Brun on my brows.
Lips: Tea Rose by Laura Mercier, mixed with a drop of my foundation.
I hope you all enjoyed this look! Happy Friday everyone, XOX ❤

Gorgeous!!
Thank you!!! Xox
I love the pop of colors!
Thank you Lucy! Xo 🙂
I really like that brow pencil. It looks very natural. I’ve been looking for a good brown pencil.
Thank you! They are actually basically eye shadows, I’ve tried so many pencils before and they never looked natural and when I tried the Le Sourcil De Chanel Perfect Brows I became hooked! It’s my favorite brow product to this day 🙂
I agree with you on the pencils not looking natural. I did this whole post on eyebrows… I feel that a pencil looks to drawn on, which is just not a good look. Powdery products look more natural… I currently use a pencil but it’s more of a chalk and it’s already angled for you. It’s really good.
Exactly, with a pencil it looks so obvious usually! That’s great though that you found a natural pencil, who makes it? I would love to give it a try 🙂
It’s by Marcelle, here is the link the post I did for Gosh eyebrow palette but I also have a picture of the brow pencil so you can see what it looks like:
