Sometimes there are mornings that we sleep through our alarm clocks, are too cold to get out of bed, and need to rush out the door whether its to school, work, a meeting, etc. So how do you put yourself together in a rush? Obviously, brush your teeth and wash your face is step 1. Use cold water because it will wake you up a bit faster (at least it helps me). If I haven’t picked my outfit out the night before and I’m running late, black jeans, a cute top (it can even be a simple white t-shirt), a blazer, and short heels always look great and these items are easy to just pull from your closet. You will look cute, fashionable, and appropriate for almost anything. Brush your hair and put it in a ponytail if your hair looks a little messy. A ponytail is easy and chic! Use a brush (I like to use The Marilyn Teaser Brush) or an old toothbrush to quickly brush flyaway’s. Then use some hairspray. You still have to do your make up now and the clock is ticking! What you will need: BB cream, blush, liquid liner, mascara, and lipstick.
Step 1: Apply BB cream to your face. I use L’Oreal Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Sunscreen Youth Code BB Cream Light. It’s tinted so it gives you slight coverage, and it’s easy to blend in to match your skin tone.
Step 2: Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks. I just started using Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Rude. You can apply this with your fingertips and just rub in circular motions to blend.
Step 3: Line your upper lash line with a liquid liner. Make sure lines are thin. My 2 favorites are Chanel Liquid Eyeliner Intensity Definition Noir and Inglot Liquid Eyeliner from Beautylish. The liquid liners from Inglot come in a variety of colors, so wear any color depending on your mood or the occasion!
Step 4: Apply mascara to lashes. I use Lights, Camera, Lashes! by Tarte.
Step 5: Apply lipstick. Because this look is very natural, I would wear a red lipstick. Revlon’s Wine With Everything 520 is gorgeous, it’s not a bright red and it has some shimmer. Any color lipstick is fine though, red is just my preference when my eyes are very natural.
That’s it; you are done and ready to go! Sometimes when we are in a rush we can get frazzled and think “I don’t have time for makeup. I’m going to look like I just rolled out of bed and can’t manage my time!” but you do have time for just a drop of some natural makeup. You can even get away with skipping the liner if that’s something you think you need extra time for. Before you go out the door, make sure to grab a breakfast bar because it’s still important to eat breakfast (it’s the most important meal of the day!), even when you’re in a rush! I hope this is helpful the next time you’re in a rush! Xox =]
