Happy Friday girlies! Last night my cousin Andrea came over, so we had a fun girls night. We went to a really cute wine and cheese cafe in Huntington Village (in Long Island) called Ideal Wine & Cheese Cafe. The food was delicious, we ate a truffle mushroom soup, pomme frites (fries) with a bacon aioli sauce (yumyum) and a delicious cheese and tomato melt with honey on focaccia bread. The food at this cute little cafe was superb! Before dinner I did Andrea’s eye makeup, using her signature look, which is a natural/golden shadow with a cat eye! I went for a more dramatic look on my eyes because I wanted to play with my new Naked 3 Palette.
To achieve Andrea’s look:
As always, the first thing I did was apply Urban Decay Primer Potion. Following that I highlighted the brow bone with a combination of Strange and Dust from my Naked3 Palette by Urban Decay. I also applied those colors on the inner corner of Andrea’s eye. With an angled brush, I applied L’Oreal Paris Eye shadow 997 Eternal Sunshine on her entire eyelid. I then used Chanel’s Stylo Eyeshadow in 17 Cool Gold in the center of the eyelid, and Chanel’s Stylo Eyeshadow in 07 Moon River (I couldn’t locate this color but Mushroom by Urban Decay is similar) on the outter corner of the eyelid. Following that I made sure to blend the eyeshadow really well to prevent any harsh and unwanted lines. The combination of these colors gave Andrea’s eye a pretty ombre effect! Then I lined the top of her eye with Chanel Liquid Eyeliner Intensity Definition Noir and applied Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara by Tarte! I did not use the mascara primer on Andrea’s lashes like I usually do, because hers are super long and thick already and we were going for a more natural look. I then applied her lipstick using 805 Kissable Pink by Revlon, mixed with Inglot Cosmetics #194!
To achieve this look:
After applying my primer, I used Albatross by Nars to highlight my brow bone. The shadow’s I used on my eyelid are all from Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette. On the inner part of my eyelid i applied Dust and Burnout. I then dipped an angled brush in some water and applied Trick on my entire eyelid. In the center of my eyelid and the crease of my eye I applied Factory. On the outer corner of my eye I used Blackheart and then blended the eyeshadow. Wetting the brush before the shadow application created a more pigmented and dramatic effect. I then used my Chanel liquid eyeliner on the top of my lash line. I used Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Eye Pencil Noir in my waterline. Below on the bottom lash line i applied Chanel Ligne Graphique de Chanel Liquid Eyeliner in Plantine. Once that dried I used a thin liner brush and dipped it in Lit Cosmetics Clearly Liquid Glitter Base and used it to apply Glitter Junkie by Lit Cosmetics, which I applied on top of the Plantine liner. I then curled my lashes, applied Tarte MultiplEYE-prime followed by Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! I lined my lips with Trust in Red Pro Longwear Lip Pencil from Mac Cosmetics, and applied both Dangerous and Booyah, also from Mac Cosmetics. I don’t think they make the color Booyah anymore but Good To Go by Mac would be a good substitute.
I hope you enjoyed this look beauties! Xox
